Your California Privacy Rights

This page is for California residents to exercise your right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Key points:

  • We do not sell your personal information for money.
  • Google Analytics shares data for advertising, which may be considered “sharing” under CCPA/CPRA.
  • You can opt out using this page, our cookie banner, or Global Privacy Control (GPC).
  • Opting out does not affect your ability to browse, shop, or use your account.

Questions can be sent to hello@keenanstaffieri.com.

Do We “Sell” Your Personal Information?

No, we do NOT sell your personal information in the traditional sense (exchanging data for money).

However, under California law, “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” even if no money is exchanged.

What Does This Mean for You?

Google Analytics:
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (page views, session duration, traffic sources). Google Analytics shares this data with Google, which may use it for advertising purposes across different websites and contexts.

Under California law, this is considered “sharing” personal information.

What Information is “Shared”?

When you visit our website, Google Analytics may collect and share:

Information Collected:

  • Browsing behavior: pages visited, links clicked, time spent on pages
  • Device information: browser type, device type, operating system, screen resolution
  • IP address: anonymized to city/state level (not full IP address)
  • Geographic location: city, state, country
  • Referral source: which website referred you to us

Where It’s Shared:

  • Google Analytics (for website analytics and advertising)

We do not share:

  • Your name, email, or contact information with Google Analytics
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe, not shared for advertising)
  • Order details or purchase history with third parties for advertising

For a complete list of how we use and share your information, see our Privacy Policy.

How to Opt Out

You have three easy options to opt out of data “sharing” for advertising:

Option 1: Cookie Banner (Easiest)

  1. When you visit our website, you’ll see a cookie consent banner
  2. Click “Reject All” or “Customize”
  3. Disable “Analytics Cookies”
  4. Your preference will be saved for 1 year

Option 2: Opt-Out Form Below

Click the button above to customize your cookie preferences and opt out of data sharing.

Option 3: Global Privacy Control (GPC)

What is GPC?
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting that automatically tells websites you want to opt out of data “sales” or “sharing.”

We honor GPC signals.
If you enable GPC in your browser, we will:

  • Automatically disable Google Analytics cookies
  • Treat it as an opt-out request under CCPA
  • Respect your preference for future visits

How to Enable GPC:

Browser Extensions:

Browsers with Built-In GPC:

  • Brave Browser: Settings → Privacy → Global Privacy Control
  • DuckDuckGo Browser (mobile): Settings → Privacy → Global Privacy Control

Once Enabled:
GPC automatically sends opt-out signals to all websites you visit (not just ours).

What Happens When You Opt Out?

You Can Still:

  • Browse the website
  • View products and artwork
  • Add items to your cart
  • Complete checkout and make purchases
  • Access your account and order history

What Changes:

  • Google Analytics will not track your browsing behavior
  • Your data will not be shared with Google for advertising
  • We will not see analytics data about your visit

Important:
Opting out does NOT affect:

  • Strictly necessary cookies (shopping cart, checkout, login) — these are still required
  • Payment processing (Stripe still processes your payment securely)
  • Your ability to use our website — all features continue to work
