Warzone, 2021

This work maps the emotional topography of conflict—where words or thoughts ignite into something irreversible, and the landscape forever bears the scars. Volcanic reds and scorched oranges consume the lower half with visceral intensity, their heat rising through layers of charred earth and fractured texture, while above, once-clear skies of cerulean and teal are now streaked with battle marks and smoke, permanently altered by what erupted below. The heavily worked surface reveals the archaeology of damage: every scratch, every layered gesture a record of what burns when we lose control, what remains when the fire finally exhausts itself. Yet within this ruin lives the paradox of aftermath—the understanding that we can only build something entirely new from ground that has been completely transformed.
